CEASEFIRE™ Case Studies
Due to the fact that CEASEFIRE was kept as a military secret for 35 years, it has only recently been commercialized and tested in various industries. It has thus far found success in:- Plastics

- Adhesives
- Fiberglass
- PVC
- Nylon products
- Construction materials, including foams
- Paints and coatings produced by other manufacturers
- Other Resin Systems
Several years ago, Ford Motor Company experienced issues with its popular Crown Victoria (often used as police vehicles). The interior of the car contained highly flammable material, and a design flaw in the trunk of the car made the vehicle susceptible to fire explosions. During an accident, the car risked being engulfed in a flame, immediately killing the trapped passengers.
CEASEFIRE™ was applied to fiberglass, a highly flammable textile that immediately disintegrates when exposed to heat. The coated fiberglass was to cover the back seats of the vehicle for protection. Two coats of 7-mil each of the epoxy coating were applied. The project demanded a 20 minute fire rating at 1700°F. Our technology was able to achieve a fire rating of more than 60 minutes at 3300°F. Ford couldn’t believe their eyes.
